Most health insurance companies provide a phone number on the back of their membership card that connects the consumer to their \u201cBehavioral Health\u201d or \u201cMental Health\u201d providers. Another resource for connecting to local counselors is the Community Resource Guide (Attached below&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>If your child is covered by Medicaid or similar insurance companies such as Amerigroup or Wellcare, there is a school-based counselor that works with the APEX program for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/avitapartners.org\/services\/child.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avita Community Partners<\/a>who can see the child for counseling sessions at school. When the APEX Counselor works with students at school, families must still schedule an initial intake appointment at the Avita Community Partners office and also schedule appointments with the psychiatrist if needed through the office too. Those appointments are not school-based.
