Parents and guardians will need to complete online forms prior to the next school year including forms to complete the Parent Permission Form to Check Out a Chromebook. Is my child’s immunization record up to date?
Students coming from middle school to high school do not require an immunization until the junior year or 11th grade after they turn 16. Those students attending in building, virtual or transferring into the 11th grade are required by law to show proof of a booster of Meningococcal Conjugate (MCV4). If you need to check out your child, an email is preferred. Email our front office, Northhallhigh@hallco.org
If you need to call, you may reach Mrs. Miller by pressing 2 during the prompts. During high volume calling periods, you may leave a message. Please do not leave multiple messages. Your call will be processed in the order it is received.
Please include the student’s first and last name, parent’s name, and what time the student should leave campus.
If your student drives or your student is 18, you must give permission for your child to leave campus.
All students must check out through the front office. Stop and pick up your check out slip.

My student is dual enrolled, is never on campus, or misses homeroom, how do I know what goes on in homeroom?
All North Hall High School students have access to advisement in canvas. Please check canvas frequently.
Is there a supply list?
High School does not have a supply list. Students need general supplies; paper, pencils, pens, etc. Teachers may request certain supplies for a classroom.
When will schedules be out for students to view?
Schedules come out at the end of July before school begins. You will go to your Infinite Campus portal to view your schedule.
What if a schedule needs to be changed?
Some schedules may need a change for various reasons, for example: you have already taken the course and received credit, there is a course on your schedule that was not requested or incorrect, a change of pathway, etc. If you need to request a change, you MUST go to our website NHHS.hallco.org and request the change only during the period of time the link is available for changes.
Why do students at North Hall High School wear ID Badges?
All students and staff at North Hall High School must have an ID visible on the front of the student or staff at all times during the school day. Please refer to the student handbook page 8. If a student forgets to wear the ID badge, a sticker ID badge will be issued in room 1318 valid for 1 day. If a student loses the badge, another badge can be purchased in the Media Center for $5.

How do I order a Yearbook?
You will go to Trojanyearbook.com and order your yearbook beginning in August of each school year.
DON’T DELAY, price will increase and there is a chance of selling out.
When is Yearbook Day?
Yearbooks will be distributed after a special reveal assembly on a date TBD. Please checkout our calendar on the front page of our website.
When will portraits be taken for underclassmen?
Once dates are determined they are shown on our calendar, on the front page of our website.

What if my child is turning 15 and wants to get a learner’s license?
You will need to take a certificate of attendance to the DMV to attain a learner’s license. Request a certificate here
Cost is $2. Certificates will be processed between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm during regular school days.
Summer hours are Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
What if my child is turning 16 and wants to get a driver’s license?
You will need to take a certificate of attendance and the ADAP to the DMV to attain a driver’s license.

My child will drive to school, how do I apply for a parking permit?
You must complete the parking permit application found on our website NHHS.hallco.org
Also, complete the Acknowledgement and Authorization Form and bring it when you pick up your permit.
How do I get my unofficial transcript for an Insurance discount?
Go to your Infinite Campus Portal, documents tab and print the unofficial transcript.
We suggest everyone print a copy when final transcripts are complete, usually around June 1st.
What is the earliest time I can drop of my child?
Students may get dropped off as early as 7:00, however, the doors to the school do not open until 7:30. Students remain in the lobby until 7:40, at which time they are to go to the cafeteria or Gym until they are released to the classroom @ 8:12
What time is my child considered tardy?
Class begins at 8:25. Students are considered tardy after the 8:25 bell
What is the latest time someone can be checked out?
The bell rings at 3:35, we recommend checking out before 3:00.
How do I excuse an absence for my child
Please send a note with your child when your child returns to school. Or you may email Shane.miller@hallco.org. It is not necessary to notify the school by phone on the day of your child’s absence. Absences are unexcused without a doctor excuse, parent excuse, etc.

Do I qualify for National Honor Society?
If you qualify for NHS, you will be invited. Invites usually go out in November. Dues for first-time members are $20 to join. You must participate in designated service projects (at least 1 per semester). You must log a minimum of 20 service hours into Infinite Campus and a copy given to Mrs. Evelyn Harper at the end of the school year. Stoles are $20 to represent the NHS for Graduation.

What if I owe any fees or fines, Media, lunchroom, etc at the end of the senior year?
Fee and Fines will follow you until paid. When you become a senior, your cap and gown, tickets and/or diploma are at risk of being held until ALL FEES or FINES are PAID!
Students may talk to our Media or Lunchroom staff for those fees.
What do I do if my child needs to ride the home with another student?
First: Please verify with Transportation that there is room on a bus @ 770-287-0942
Second: Please email Melissa.sewell@hallco.org and/or Shane.Miller@hallco.org
Give student’s full name, your name, phone number and who the student will be riding home with.
It is the student’s responsibility to stop by the office and pick the note up and take it to the bus driver.
My child’s bus did not stop by for pick up?
Please call transportation @ 770-287-0942 for the most accurate information regarding location of your child’s bus.
How do I change my password in my Parent portal?
The reset password button only works if the parent has their email address listed under the ‘Account Settings’ area on Portal. It is not connected to the same email address listed under their contact settings. It can be the same email but portal needs it in the parent portal settings.
