Healthcare Science
The Healthcare Science Career Cluster in Georgia prepares students to explore a wide range of careers in the health care and medical field, from direct patient care and diagnostics to health information and biotechnology. Through this cluster, students gain foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in areas such as therapeutic services, clinical lab work, health informatics, emergency response, and allied health practices. Coursework often starts with introductory healthcare science and progresses into specialized pathways that connect classroom learning to real-world healthcare settings. Completing a Healthcare Science pathway helps students build essential skills like communication, critical thinking, and technical competency, while preparing them for post-secondary education, industry credentials, and high-demand careers that support health and wellness across communities in Georgia and beyond.
Students enrolled in the healthcare pathways will be immersed in the fast-paced world of medicine through hands-on projects and opportunities in the classroom. Students are eligible to earn multiple certifications that will prepare them for post-secondary endeavors that will give them a true competitive advantage in college and career.
